Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment midway through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first major achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
